Keith was active in St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, playing cribbage and their trips to Florida. He was known for his storytelling and his ability to make others laugh. He also was an avid Hodag sports enthusiast and had the opportunity to announce many games for the radio broadcast with his son John. His greatest joy, however, came from the time spent with his grandchildren.

Keith is survived by his wife Rita, his two daughters Cindy (David) Kaechele of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Lori Heise of Rhinelander; his two sons John (Margie) Heise of Rhinelander and Jeffrey (Penny Varnava) Heise of Chicago, Ill.; and his six grandchildren Jamie, Joseph, Kristine, Michael, Stephanie and Kelly. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Agnes Huber and Mavis Kupfer and his two brothers Franz "Bud" and Donald.

A memorial service will be held for Keith at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at the Nativity of Our Lord Parish-St. Mary's Catholic Church with Deacon Michael Harvey officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until just before the services on Wednesday, June 28, 2006.
