The Oneida County Board of Supervisors will hear from an expert on invasive aquatic species when it meets for its monthly meeting Tuesday.
Laura Herman, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Plant Management Specialist, is scheduled to address the board at 10 a.m. She will give a presentation on invasive aquatic species (such as Eurasian Milfoil) and how they may effect Northwoods lakes.
Also Tuesday the board is expected to receive an update on the investigation into a complaint against Oneida County Labor Relations and Employees Services Director Carey Jackson. Oneida County Board Chairman Andy Smith has indicated the group will be informed as to the progress of a Madison attorney working on the matter. Jackson was accused in April of misconduct related to the attempted firing of Oneida County Corporation Counsel Lawrence R. Heath.
Jackson denies the allegations.
In other business the board will:
€ Consider a resolution increasing the hours of the part-time Tobacco Control Coordinator. The board will also consider a resolution to change the hours of the Typist III in the county clerk's office.
